The Brides Guide | Planning the Perfect
Wedding Day Timeline for Stunning Photos!
1. GIVE YOUR MORNING MOMENTS TIME TO BREATH
WHY? The getting ready portion of your wedding day isn’t just about make up and hair, it’s where your story begins. Many key detail shots like your dress, jewelry, bouquet, stationery etc. are taken during this time also.
TIP: Set aside your important and sentimental items such as your rings, shoes, vows, perfume bottle, invitations, etc. in one spot so we can begin capturing them as soon as we arrive.
2. KEEP THE GETTING READY SPACE TIDY
WHY? A clean organized space or bridal suite makes a big difference in your photos. Clutter like bags, clothes, and make up scattered around can distract from beautiful candid moments and slow things down.
TIP: Designate a corner or area to keep make up bags, totes, or any other personal items tucked away. This keeps the space picture perfect at all times to capture each special moment clutter free.

3. PLAN YOUR GROUP PHOTOS WITH INTENTION
WHY? Trying to remember who needs to be in what photo on the spot.. total time waster. A little planning makes this part quick, smooth and painless.
TIP: Make a list a head of time and ask a close friend or family member who knows everyone to help gather your VIPs quickly and efficiently. You’ll thank yourself later.
4. SECOND SHOOTER IS A MUST!
WHY? You can’t be in two places at once, but your photographers can! While one of us is photographing the bride, our second photographer can be with the groom, preserving both perspectives of your wedding morning and every meaningful glance, laugh, and moment in between.
TIP: Make sure your photography package includes two photographers to fully capture the unfolding story of your day.
5. MAKE TIME FOR GOLDEN HOUR
WHY? The hour before sunset offers the most romantic, flattering light of the entire day. The soft, golden, dreamy light is the ideal time for capturing those fairytale like photos!
TIP: Add the sunset time to your schedule and plan a 15-20 minutes window during that time to sneak away for golden hour portraits. You’ll love the end results! Trust me, it’s worth it!
6. ALLOW PLENTY OF TIME FOR EACH PHOTO SESSION
WHY? A relaxed schedule allows your photographer to get more thoughtful, artistic images and gives you a chance to actually enjoy the process. When you and your photographer aren’t rushed, the photos can go from good to truly unforgettable!
TIP: Don’t limit all your portraits to just cocktail hour. Build in extra time for large group shots, walking between locations, setting up creative angles, and adjusting lighting.

7. ADD A MEMORABLE MOMENT AT THE END OF YOUR CEREMONY ISLE
WHY? This is a fun opportunity to get an epic photo! A dip, kiss or a spontaneous celebration with all your closest friends and family cheering in the background makes for the perfect backdrop!
TIP: elevate your moment by giving your guests something fun to toss or wave like bubbles, rose petals, or ribbon wands. It adds movement, color and energy to your photo, making that recessional shot truly magical!
BONUS TIP!
CONSIDER DOING A FIRST LOOK
WHY? Doing a first look gives you and your fiancé a moment to connect before the chaos begins. It gives you a chance to breathe hug, laugh, or even cry just the two of you. But first looks can be more than just emotional they’re also strategic. Sharing this private moment, not only creates beautiful candid images, but also opens up the schedule, allowing portraits to be captured earlier in the day. The result? A smoother timeline, fewer delays and more time spent celebrating with your friends and family.
